ETHYDCO places a strong emphasis on process safety, integrating it from the initial design phase and maintaining it throughout the entire life cycle of operations. We are committed to providing the necessary resources for safe operations, regular maintenance, and inspections to proactively address potential safety hazards.
Our primary goal is to focus on two critical areas: personal and process safety. We strive to reduce risks and minimize the potential impact of incidents, with a special focus on the most serious consequences by adopting globally recognized process safety management systems and systematically analyzing and addressing gaps, we have taken significant steps toward ensuring safety excellence.
Our efforts culminated in ETHYDCO becoming the first Egyptian company to receive a process safety management performance certificate from DNV.
In 2024 Ethydco also achieved its objectives of implementing all Process
Safety Management (PSM) procedures issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and
Mineral Resources (MOP), especially the standards which included Process Safety
Program , Risk Management and Safety Case.
Safety Case was finalized in cooperation with TUV Rheinland over a
9-month period, which states ETHYDCO's disclosure that all Hazards are
identified and managed within ALARP.
ETHYDCO also rigorously monitors the implementation of process safety management by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) across 20 system elements to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness.
Ethydco performed hazard identification and risk analysis studies according to the latest international codes and standards to ensure the full identification and proper control of the facility's risks.
Ethydco gives priority to control the related risks by applying all risk reduction measures and controls to keep any risk under full control.
Ethydco conducted all reviews and made arrangements with local authorities (civil defence), neighbouring companies and regional geographic to ensure that emergency preparedness plans and resources were consistent with local regulations and to ensure assistance in case of emergencies.
