Cooperation Protocol between Ethydco and the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Suez University

As part of the Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company’s (Ethydco) leading and responsible role in enhancing community participation, supporting the educational process, and linking education and scientific research with industry and environmental development, Eng. Mohamed Abdel Monem Saleh, Chairman and Managing Director of Ethydco, and Prof. Dr. Abir Mahmoud Shoaib, Dean of the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, signed a cooperation protocol. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohamed Eid, Assistant Chairman for Administrative Affairs, Mrs. Manal Abdel Aziz, Training department General Manager, and Mr. Mostafa Ahmed, Training department Assistant General Manager.

This agreement provides distinguished training opportunities for students of the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at the company's site, offering them both theoretical and practical experience. Students will participate in field visits during major maintenance activities and shutdowns, with access to the company’s laboratories. Ethydco will also contribute to supervising and discussing student graduation projects, utilizing the insights gained from these projects.

Furthermore, the agreement offers additional opportunities for developing the skills of Ethydco employees through various activities. Researchers at the company will benefit from access to the faculty’s research capabilities, electronic libraries, and global research systems. Additionally, the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering at Suez University will provide Ethydco employees with opportunities to pursue postgraduate studies, obtain academic degrees, and participate in various training programs. It also allows quality management employees to receive training in quality control and management.
