In a successful partnership between industrial companies and academic and research institutions, and as part of Ethydco's leading and responsible role in maximizing its community participation, supporting the educational process, and linking education and scientific research with industry to develop the environment, the Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (Ethydco) signed a cooperation agreement with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria.The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Farag, President of the Academy, and Mrs. Manal Metwally, Ethydco's Training department General Manager.
This agreement provides Academy students access to exceptional training opportunities at Ethydco, offering them both theoretical and practical experience, including field visits during maintenance and shutdowns.It also grants them access to the company’s laboratories in an attempt to prepare students for requirements of the job market. Additionally, Ethydco contributes to supervising and evaluating the Academy students' graduation projects, benefiting from the insights these projects provide. The protocol also allows Ethydco employees to enhance their skills by utilizing the Academy's laboratories, equipment, and tools. It gives them access to the Academy's extensive research resources, including the electronic library and global research systems. Furthermore, the Academy offers Ethydco employees opportunities to pursue postgraduate studies, obtain academic degrees, and participate in various training programs
