In alignment with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' efforts to achieve sustainable development under Egypt’s Vision 2030, and to enhance the sector’s role in social responsibility initiatives, particularly in the healthcare field, the Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO) has reaffirmed its commitment to making a meaningful impact. This is reflected in its ongoing efforts to expand access to high-quality medical services, especially for underserved communities, underprivileged areas, and families in need.
Chemist. Hesham Riyad, ETHYDCO’s Chairman and CEO, signed two significant cooperation protocols aimed at providing comprehensive medical services to the residents of Al-Nahda villages in Amreya district, which includes approximately 40 villages.
The first protocol was signed with Alexandria Health Directorate, in the presence of Dr. Ghada Nada, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Alexandria. Under this agreement, the Health Directorate will oversee the provision of all necessary medical services, including doctors, diagnostic tests, surgeries, medications, and treatments across outpatient clinics and hospital wards. These services will be delivered through five hospitals: Gamal Hamada Hospital, Al-Gomhoreya Hospital, Kom El-Shafafa Hospital, Ras El-Tin Hospital, and Amreya Hospital. ETHYDCO will cover associated financial costs. Additionally, the protocol includes organizing medical convoys to extend healthcare services to the broader community in the area.
The second protocol was signed with Ayadi Al-Motaqbal Oncology Hospital, affiliated with Ayadi 40&40 Association, in the presence of Dr. Abdelaziz Abdel-Maboud, Chairman of the association. This protocol aims to provide medical services at the hospital for underprivileged residents of Al-Nahda area in Amreya, with ETHYDCO covering all treatment and medical costs. The signing of both protocols marks a transformative step in healthcare provision, bringing together petroleum sector companies, state institutions, and charitable organizations to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
