Cooperation Protocol Signed Between ETHYDCO and EPROM Covering Projects, Technical Support, and Training

The Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO) and the Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance Company (EPROM) have signed a cooperation protocol in the fields of projects, technical and engineering support, and training.
This protocol aligns with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategic framework, which focuses on enhancing collaboration among petroleum sector companies, exchanging expertise and best practices, optimizing resource utilization, and boosting the sector’s competitiveness. It supports infrastructure development and human capital growth to achieve sustainable development goals.
The signing took place on Monday, July 28, 2025, at EPROM’s headquarters in the Petroleum Complex in Alexandria. The protocol was signed by Chemist Hisham Riyad, Chairman and Managing Director of ETHYDCO, and Eng. Hossam Asaad, Chairman and Managing Director of EPROM, in the presence of senior executives from both companies.
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two companies and leverage EPROM’s extensive technical expertise—particularly in integrated support services related to the operation and maintenance of projects and production units at ETHYDCO. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency, maintain high performance standards, and uphold best practices in safety and occupational health. The protocol also includes cooperation in training programs to develop engineering and technical skills.
Chemist Hisham Riyad, Chairman of ETHYDCO, described the protocol as a significant step toward expanding constructive and fruitful collaboration with a distinguished partner like EPROM, known for its vast experience in managing and operating major projects.
Eng. Hossam Asaad, Chairman of EPROM, praised the partnership, highlighting its role in promoting integration within the petroleum sector in line with the Ministry’s vision. He emphasized ETHYDCO’s leading role in Egypt’s petrochemical industry and affirmed EPROM’s status as one of the region’s pioneers in petroleum project operations and maintenance, offering innovative solutions that improve efficiency and enhance performance.
